About this project

Lee and Curtis sourced some rather beautiful Calacatta Viola marble themselves and asked us to do the work. With its dramatic purple and burgundy veining against a soft white ground, Viola is one of the most show-stopping natural marbles available — and a real pleasure to fabricate.

We bookmatched the slabs so the veining mirrors across the walls, creating a single, flowing pattern through the enclosure. Bookmatching takes careful planning and precise cutting, and it is exactly the kind of statement stonework our workshop loves to take on.
